Charging spots blocked by non-electric vehicles (known as ICEing) are a violation of local parking regulations. It’s a major hurdle to a seamless charging experience, and we are working hard with landowners to prevent it.
Because JOLT operates on public and partner land, we do not have the legal authority to issue fines or tow vehicles. To get the bay cleared or report a violation, you will need to contact the authorities who manage that specific location:
📍 On Public Streets or Council Land
Please report the incident to your local authority/council, who can issue citations.
🏢 At Shopping Centres or Private Car Parks
Please notify Centre Management or On-site Security. Since they own the land, they are the only ones who can move the vehicle or enforce parking rules in those bays.
Thank you for helping us keep these bays clear for the EV community. We are constantly advocating for better signage and stricter enforcement with all our partners.
