Not all electric vehicles currently support Autocharge. Compatibility depends on your vehicle’s plug type and how it communicates with the charger.
1. Plug type not supported
Autocharge works exclusively with CCS2 connectors.
Vehicles that use CHAdeMO plugs aren’t compatible because Autocharge relies on the CCS communication system to securely share your vehicle's MAC Address with our charger
2. Vehicle uses a dynamic MAC address
Some car manufacturers use what’s called a dynamic MAC address, which changes regularly or is shared across several vehicles of the same model. Because Autocharge identifies vehicles through their MAC address, dynamic addresses make it impossible to safely match a charging session to the correct account.
To protect users, JOLT does not enable Autocharge for vehicles with dynamic MAC addresses.
If you’re not sure whether your car is compatible, simply add your vehicle details in the JOLT App, we’ll confirm this for you automatically.
