High level:
No matter how you start your charge, make sure to:
Turn off your car
Start a session via your JOLT app
Then plug the connector to your vehicle
There are 2 ways to start your charge:
- Scan the QR code on the station or select your charging station on the map
- Select your plug type (CCS 2 or CHAdeMO)

- Ensure your vehicle is in parking
- Force close your app and reopen
- Start the charge
- Plug the connector into your vehicle

Reservations allow you to secure an available charger in advance, ensuring it won't be occupied by the time you arrive. While we encourage users to reserve chargers responsibly, please note that we cannot control the behaviour of other drivers. Charging etiquette is essential to ensuring fair access for all.
How do I reserve a charger?
Tap on an available charging location pin in the app.
Select the plug compatible with your vehicle.
Tap the 'Reserve' button located to the left of the 'Start' button at the bottom of the screen.
Follow the prompts to complete the reservation.
Your reservation will be active for the specified time, with limits on daily reservations and a wait time between consecutive reservations, as outlined in the app.
Users of this feature may encounter restrictions for various reasons, such as the charger being occupied, preparing a charge, or out of service.

1. Free - users get 7kWh free energy daily
2. Flex - for $14.99 AUD per month:

- 10% discount on the standard rate for on peak charging (9am-9pm)
- 30% discount on the standard rate for off peak charging (9pm-9am)

New Zealand Drivers:
1. Free - users get 7kWh free energy daily
2. Flex - for $14.99 NZD per month:

How do I sign up to JOLT PLUS?
For registered JOLT app users:
- Log in to the app
- Navigate to Account
- Click Membership (under your name at top of screen)
- Click Upgrade/Explore Memberships
- Choose the JOLT PLUS membership that suits you
For unregistered users:- Download the JOLT app from App Store or Google Play Store
- Sign up
- Choose the JOLT PLUS membership that suits you during registration
How long does my JOLT PLUS membership last?
JOLT PLUS memberships last one month from the date you sign up and renew automatically.
You can see your next billing date in the app (navigate to Account > Payments > Activity > Membership).
How do I cancel my JOLT PLUS membership?
To cancel your paid JOLT PLUS membership, you’ll need to re-subscribe to any other membership via the app before your next billing date e.g. the Daily Free 7 kWh membership (which costs $0.00).
Cancelling/changing your membership takes effect immediately and you’ll no longer have access to the features in your JOLT PLUS membership. To keep your JOLT PLUS benefits until the end of your billing cycle, update your membership closer to (but still before) your next billing date.
You can see your next billing date in the app (navigate to Account > Payments > Activity > Membership).
How many cars can I use per account?
You can only use one vehicle per account. Please see our Fair Use policy for full details.

JOLT offers 7 kWh free daily for all customers! Your energy allowance resets at midnight.
After you’ve consumed 7 kWh for the calendar day, you will be charged the per kWh rate. You can find the per kWh rate in your app, just click on a map pin to see the rate for the charger you want to use.
Please be aware that there is a minimum fee of $0.50 for any paid charging session.
To clarify, in NZ there is a minimum fee of $0.50NZD and in Australia there is a minimum fee of $0.50AUD
Whether you are in Australia or New Zealand we have membership option(s) with their own benefits and charging rates. You can find these in the app by navigating to Account > Membership (under your name at the top of the screen) > Upgrade/Explore Memberships
