Free energy at Ahold sites

• Chargers at Ahold locations exclusively offer 2 kWh free daily.
• JOLT does not offer free energy across the wider USA network at this time. 

1. Pre-Authorization / Temporary Hold

• When you start a charging session, a temporary hold is placed on your card to confirm it's valid — similar to filling up at the pump or checking into a hotel.
• This is not a charge. Once your session ends, you're only billed for the energy you used, and the hold is released by your bank (usually within a few business days).
  
   

2. Charging Rates

• A flat fee applies to connect your vehicle at some chargers in some states.

• The local charging rate varies by location and charger speed (L2/L3). 
   

3. Idle Fees

To ensure chargers are available for everyone, an Idle Fee applies if your car remains connected after it has finished charging. See app for details. 

• When does it start? The fee begins accruing 10 mins after your charging session ends (e.g. your battery reaches 100% or the session is stopped). 

• How to avoid it: Please enable Push Notifications in the JOLT app. We will send you an alert when your charge is complete so you can move your vehicle immediately.
   

4. Minimum Price

A minimum fee of $0.50 applies to any paid session.

5. Parking Limits and Fees

Please obey all local parking signs. Parking fees, time limits, and fines are controlled by the local council/site host, not JOLT. Any parking fees or fines are the responsibility of the driver.
